We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Infrastructure Development Project Manager to join our team at Rotorua Lakes Council.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned project manager to lead the delivery of stormwater infrastructure projects under the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund (IAF) Stormwater Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables for stormwater infrastructure projects.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project-specific risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including iwi, local authorities, contractors, and community groups.
  • Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with contracts, assisting with contract variations as needed.
  • Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to the IAF Programme Manager to ensure resources are effectively managed.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet Council and regulatory standards, conducting regular reviews and audits.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing infrastructure or construction projects, preferably within the stormwater sector.
  • Formal project management certification (e.g., Prince2, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Strong relationship management skills and experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Expertise in financial management and contract supervision.

Salary

$110,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience.
