Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Compliance Administration Officer to join our team at Environment Canterbury. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in managing and directing our pollution response across Canterbury.

Responsibilities

  1. Triage events and coordinate responses to ensure timely and effective resolution
  2. Send officers to investigate incidents and provide support as needed
  3. Contact people to gather further details of the event and provide updates as required
  4. Collaborate with teams across the region to ensure appropriate response to events
  5. Maintain accurate and consistent records of incidents and responses

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Key Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as environmental management or administration
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
