The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our Auckland team. As a senior member of our leadership team, you will report directly to the Regional Director and play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of health and safety within our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure effective incident reporting and investigation processes are implemented to determine root causes and prevent re-occurrences
• Analyze regional incident data on a monthly basis to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop and implement regional business plans in collaboration with the senior leadership team
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Identify and drive regional health and safety training programs, both internally and externally
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• An in-depth knowledge of health and safety management systems, risk assessment processes, and legal requirements
• Proven experience in establishing working relationships, promoting, and advising on health and safety issues with project teams and sub-contractors
• A minimum of five years' health and safety management experience in the construction sector or equivalent operational leadership experience
