About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring our staff, ensuring the continued improvement and evolution of established health and safety systems and processes. This role will be based in our Auckland depot, supporting our Auckland, New Plymouth, Stratford, Masterton, and Wellington operations.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Have well-developed communication and coaching skills to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels.
- Hold a relevant health and safety qualification, with previous experience in a similar role, and preferably have experience in the water industry.
- Be passionate about working with people and committed to helping lift our safety culture to new heights.
- Be driven to motivate others as you build enduring relationships with people at all levels of Citycare Water, while promoting excellence in health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor and coach staff on health and safety best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to health and safety.
