We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Community Connections Supported Living Trust. Our organisation is committed to creating an inclusive New Zealand where people with disabilities are respected and valued.
About Our Company
We operate across much of the North Island, providing community-based disability support. Our team is passionate about making a positive impact on the community we support.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work closely with members of our community who have complex disabilities. Your responsibilities will include supporting them with various aspects of daily life, such as personal care, meal preparation, and managing household tasks.
You will be part of a compassionate team providing 24/7 residential support, ensuring a safe, engaging, and empowering environment. Flexibility to work both day and night shifts is required.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Support Worker who can keep pace with a highly active individual who enjoys daily walks, swimming, and maintaining an energetic lifestyle. Your exceptional time management and problem-solving skills will be invaluable as you navigate various situations.
Experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviours is especially desirable, particularly if you have a solid understanding of autism and intellectual disabilities.
