Company Overview

INSIDE Recruitment is partnering with OSPRI to find a talented Solution Architect for their Technology Solutions group. This group plays a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining OSPRI's applications and infrastructure, including managing vendors to deliver required services.

The Solution Architect will be the most senior technologist in the team, reporting directly to the CIO. As a strong hands-on allrounder, you will provide consistent oversight of architectural tasks, establish best practices to minimize technical debt, and align technology solutions with OSPRI's strategic goals.

This role builds expertise in enterprise and solution architecture to lead the delivery of services from external providers that fit OSPRI's technology roadmap, Enterprise Architecture, and supporting informed technology strategy and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining OSPRI's Enterprise Architecture in relation to changes to the organizational strategy and ensuring alignment.
  • Driving quality and consistency of technical solutions through management and application of architecture standards, guidelines, and practices across the Technology Solutions Team and external partners.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze business needs and objectives.
  • Creating detailed, feasible, and scalable technical solutions that align with business goals.
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies for implementation.
  • Producing comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation process to ensure projects stay on track and meet defined objectives and security standards.

Essential Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a Solution Architect role, preferably in a medium or large organization.
  • A good working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, including relevant frameworks like TOGAF.
  • Extensive experience in Azure Architecture, with current Azure Expert qualifications.
  • Prior experience working with Azure DevOps for CI/CD with IAC (Terraform, Bicep, etc.).
  • Proven experience in modern architecture methodologies, frameworks, toolsets, and approaches.
  • Prior experience working with security frameworks like NZISM, NIST, and OWASP.
  • Prior experience developing and implementing Integration architectures.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to convey complex information to various audiences.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
