Job Description

Senior Fire Engineer Role:

As a Senior Fire Engineer at Franklin Smith Group, you will lead fire engineering projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial. You will work closely with clients and other in-house engineering disciplines to deliver tailored solutions that meet project requirements and compliance standards.

This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership and client-facing interaction, providing you with the opportunity to shape projects from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead fire engineering projects, managing technical aspects and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative fire safety solutions
  • Conduct fire risk assessments & analysis
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering growth within the team
  • Stay current with advancements in fire engineering and contribute to the continuous improvement of best practices
About You
  • Understanding of Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire engineering, preferably within a consultancy environment
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand Building Code and fire safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
