Job Summary

The Ministry of Social Development is seeking a highly skilled Government Office Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will provide efficient and high-quality administrative support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-level administrative support to the team
  • Coordinating meetings, events, and travel arrangements
  • Organising the flow of documentation and information and maintaining sound processes
  • Developing processes and practises that meet the needs of the team
  • Minute taking, stakeholder management, and oversight of decisions and action points

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in providing high-level administration, preferably in a government or public sector context
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks
  • The ability to engage with a range of stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner
  • Good technical understanding of IT processes and systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
