About the Position

The Business Manager position plays a critical role in supporting the Office of the Deputy Secretary Governance.

You will be responsible for providing high-calibre support to work programmes and personnel in the Puni, including:

  • Coordinating information and issues on behalf of the Deputy Secretary Governance.
  • Providing practical management of strategic planning, budgetary, and financial management processes.
  • Offering secretarial and administrative support to the Puni and Deputy Secretary.
  • Providing future-focused advice on governance and management issues in the Puni.

You will work collaboratively and flexibly as the work arises, and may also provide executive support to the Secretary for Māori Development as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adaptable and able to pivot quickly to address emerging issues.
  • Able to manage both reactive and proactive work with the ability to prioritise appropriately.
  • Proven experience managing complex and multiple relationships to take full advantage of the perspectives and expertise of stakeholders.
