Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Anaesthetist to join our dynamic department of 16 consultants at the Waitemata District Health Board.

About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time position with 3.66 FTE available.

The role involves working in a range of regional hospital specialties, including acute and elective theatres, acute pain, birthing unit, MRI, trauma calls, and pre-assessment clinic.

A commitment of 6 clinical sessions per week and 3 non-clinical sessions is required, with additional after-hours roster coverage for normal anaesthetic work and level 2 ICU.

Requirements
  • Completed specialist training (preferably FANZCA +/ FCICM)
  • Eligible to obtain provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $550,000 - $600,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
