The Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Oncologist to join our dynamic team at Rotorua/Taupo Hospitals. As a key member of our oncology department, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer. Your exceptional clinical skills, combined with your ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with various types of cancer
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in oncology research and treatment options
Requirements
- Specialist qualification in medical oncology
- Qualifications recognized for specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize a heavy clinical workload
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Demonstrate a team approach to work and a collaborative working relationship with management
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- Understanding in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- A valid, NZ driver's license and ability to drive to peripheral oncology clinics
