The Role

Casual support workers will provide cover for permanent support workers, reporting to the Team Coach. The hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available. Shifts will cover 24/7 or 7:00am-3:30pm/2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Sunday based in Waihi.

  • Support individuals with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday household tasks
  • Assist with budgeting and independent daily living
  • Provide medication support where required
  • Attend appointments and advocate for the individuals we support

Requirements

A current full New Zealand driver's licence

A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one

Hold either the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us

Experience in working with young people and an understanding of trauma-informed care

Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts
