**Compensation Package**

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, ensuring fair compensation for our team members based on their role and experience. This includes a comprehensive benefits package and generous Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

**Job Description: Group Accountant**

We are seeking an experienced Group Accountant to join our Finance team. As the second-in-command in this newly created role, you will have ample opportunities for growth and learning. Your contributions will play a crucial part in our company's global success and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for streamlining financial processes and implement best practices to optimize efficiency in financial operations.
  • Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Oversee the end-to-end month-end process for multiple entities (NZ, AU, US, UK) and ensure timely preparation of management reports, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage the accounts payable process, entering and managing bills in Xero, submitting them for approval, preparing and prioritizing payment runs to adhere to payment terms, and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Payroll: Manage payroll processes across multiple entities using iPayroll, Cloud Payroll, and Insperity, ensuring timely and accurate payroll calculations, including bonuses and deductions, and preparing variance reports for payroll-related discrepancies.
  • Reconciliation & Bookkeeping: Reconcile bank accounts and debit cards for all entities, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in Xero, maintain proper documentation for all transactions, follow up on missing receipts, and handle inter-company transactions and ensure correct reconciliation across entities.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or a related field, preferably from a Big 4 firm or Top 10 firm with a focus on tech clients.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end month-end close processes.
  • CA qualification or near qualification, with a passion for technology, SaaS, and start-ups.
