About the Role

As a key member of our New Zealand team, you will be responsible for providing strategic compliance advice and overseeing activities for our business in the region.

Your expertise will extend to navigating a hybrid work environment, where stakeholders operate remotely from home or are situated in Australia. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a robust risk and compliance culture within the business, serving as a senior leader on-site in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to support effective compliance and risk management by Line 1 teams.
  • Represent Compliance as a member of the New Zealand site leadership group and Line 1 risk forums.
  • Advise and provide guidance to Line 1 teams across Australia and New Zealand on the New Zealand regulatory environment and regulatory changes.
  • Hold the position of New Zealand AML/CFT Officer.
  • Be an active member of Latitude's Enterprise & Operational Risk and Compliance Leadership Team and support the Tribe's objectives and team engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced compliance professional with:

  • Extensive hands-on experience and practical knowledge of CCCFA, Fair Trading Act, Privacy and other regulatory requirements relevant to a New Zealand financial services entity.
  • Strong compliance and risk management capabilities.
  • Legal qualifications and experience strongly desired.
  • Experience and practical knowledge of credit card and personal loan products, and operational environments preferred.
