The Oncology Nurse Specialist will provide clinical leadership and support to patients and their whānau during their oncology treatment, working closely with Radiation and Medical Oncology multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

This involves:

  • Providing expert clinical knowledge and leadership skills to support nursing teams, prioritizing workload, and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide care to patients based at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland, regionally at our local delivery sites and into community settings as the service expands.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in oncology nursing practice, including chemotherapy certification and other relevant areas.
