Our Team
The Research, Analysis, and Intelligence team provides analytical expertise, generating insights to inform decision-making at New Zealand Government. We lead analytics programs, undertake geospatial analysis, and offer intelligence assessments and products to support harm prevention and regulatory decisions.

Your Role
As our Senior Geospatial Analyst, you will play a key part in managing our enterprise GIS platform, providing technical expertise, and undertaking geospatial analysis, data management, and support services to our business and external stakeholders. You will design and build interactive maps, applications, and dashboards to provide valuable insights to decision-makers.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geoscience, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5+ years as a GIS analyst responsible for geospatial analysis, mapping, managing geospatial data, and providing expert GIS support.
  • Strong experience with the Esri ArcGIS suite of products, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS field apps.
