Job Description

The Role

This Senior Geospatial Analyst plays a critical role in leading the development and implementation of geospatial solutions that inform decision-making and drive organisational success.

As a technical leader, you will provide strategic direction and technical expertise to the GIS platform, ensuring it meets the needs of the organisation and its stakeholders.

You will be responsible for managing a team of analysts and experts, guiding their work, and ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality results.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

As a subject matter expert, you will stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying your knowledge and experience to improve the GIS platform and its applications.

You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, contributing to the growth and development of the organisation.

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geoscience, Computer Science, or equivalent experience;
  • At least 5+ years as a GIS analyst with experience in geospatial analysis, mapping, managing geospatial data, and providing expert GIS support;
  • Strong experience with the Esri ArcGIS suite of products, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS field apps;
  • Experience in maintaining and developing geographic information systems, including data management, GIS web services, and spatial databases;
  • Previous experience working with government data and analytical teams is an advantage;
  • Strong team player with a willingness to coach and mentor others.
