Role Summary

We provide comprehensive laboratory services to the New Zealand community through our team of professionals. As a Chemical Pathologist, you will work on a range of tests in automation and specialist chemistry.

LabPLUS performs cutting-edge testing in areas such as chromatography/toxicology, trace elements, proteins and paediatric/metabolic biochemistry. Participation in national screening programmes is also part of this role.

This position involves working primarily at LabPLUS, but may require collaboration with other laboratories in the region.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Holding specialist registration in Chemical Pathology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  2. A Medical degree that meets the requirements of the New Zealand Medical Council.
  3. A postgraduate qualification in Chemical Pathology with Fellowship of the RCPA (or equivalent).
  4. Experience and/or qualifications in biochemical genetics, metabolic medicine, chromatography, mass spectrometry, toxicology and therapeutic drug monitoring, and screening programmes.
