About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Partnership Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key account distribution channel plans, strategies, and trading terms architecture to drive sustainable, profitable relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Developing and managing strategic business critical projects, from conception to operational implementation, ensuring alignment across functions and partners.
  2. Driving account management excellence through the development of key account plans, achieving sales, volume, and share targets across categories.
  3. Leading and coaching account teams, fostering career development and ensuring robust team performance and succession planning.
  4. Negotiating trading terms, managing trade spend, and ensuring maximum return on investment through accurate forecasting and efficient resource allocation.
  5. Identifying and developing new business opportunities, particularly in new categories like vaping, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
  6. Building and maintaining long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key accounts, partners, and industry associations to advance our market position.

You Will Be Successful If You Have:

  1. A minimum 5 years of experience in account/category management or a similar role within the FMCG sector.
  2. Proven leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and managing high-performing teams.
  3. Tertiary qualification in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  5. Demonstrated business and commercial acumen, including experience with financial principles like TCI and SONA.
  6. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
  7. Experience in managing strategic partnerships and delivering successful business outcomes.
  8. Knowledge or experience in new categories (e.g., vaping) and a track record of driving innovation and efficiency in distribution strategies.
