Job Description

\

This is a senior role that requires a high level of expertise in planning and resource management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of making robust decisions on resource consent applications and providing expert planning advice to customers.

\

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the Resource Management Act, District Plans and the wider planning framework. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing expert planning advice to customers, including pre-app advice, site visits, and written reports.\
  • Liaising with experts, including lawyers, surveyors, and engineers, to provide informed advice on resource consent applications.\
  • Managing complex applications, including preparing submissions, attending hearings, and taking appeals to the Environment Court.\
  • Mentoring less experienced planners to develop their skills and knowledge.\
