We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to join our Assessment and Permitting team within the Environmental Services practice area at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. This role offers the opportunity to work on Provincial and Federal Environmental Impact Assessments for various projects, including mining, infrastructure, industrial, and community developments.
Your key responsibilities will include implementing environmental assessment and impact assessment processes, managing project tasks and deliverables, writing and coordinating proposals and reports, conducting desktop studies, developing and implementing consultation programs, and communicating effectively with project stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong listening and problem-solving skills, ability to work seamlessly with multidisciplinary project teams, capacity to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously, exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, proven project management skills, delivering quality results on time and within budget, and willingness to undertake periodic short-term travel.
A university degree or post-undergraduate college diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field is required. Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental program and project development, implementation, and management, with a focus on renewable energy projects is preferred.
