About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Oncologist to join our team in Dunedin Hospital on a permanent basis. The Southern Blood & Cancer Service provides a collaborative environment with a team of experienced professionals, including 8 Medical Oncologists and 1 nurse practitioner, 5 Radiation Oncologists, and 6 Haematologists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients with cancer and blood disorders
  • Participate in outreach clinics to peripheral centres
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research programs
  • Support staff research and continuing medical education
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or an equivalent qualification
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
