About the Role

As a Senior Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in the overall strategy and delivery of residential communities in Auckland, from feasibility through to handover on completion. You will work as part of a project team, leading a number of exciting development opportunities across Auckland, including some of the largest development projects.

The vision is to create vibrant, mixed-density residential communities accommodating a range of homes, along with infrastructure upgrades, associated retail, cafes, parks, and open spaces. Walking and cycling paths will be integrated into the design. We're looking for a Senior Development Manager with proven local experience and the ability to manage the process throughout the project lifecycle, whether it's existing projects or new developments we're evaluating.

The position requires leadership of various activities, including initial market research, master planning, financial management, briefing and building consultant and delivery teams, and successfully managing these teams through the design, permitting, and delivery stages of the project.

About You

We're seeking someone passionate about Residential Development, from initial feasibility stage, design, regulatory approvals, through to delivery. The ideal candidate will have an astute understanding of the market, ideally coupled with prior experience working on mixed-density residential developments in Auckland.

You will have a clear understanding of the development process, along with a track record in successfully delivering projects through to completion. Strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential, so excellent communication and organisational skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate and problem-solve with multiple parties.

Cost, quality management, health and safety, and timely delivery of projects must always be considered. As a proven people leader, you will have experience successfully managing teams.
