About the Role

New Zealand Skills and Education College is seeking passionate healthcare professionals to join our teaching team. As a healthcare tutor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare professionals by delivering high-quality education and training.

This is a permanent position based at our Auckland, New Lynn campus, where you will be working with students from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and a dedication to mentoring and inspiring the next generation of healthcare students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver courses using effective and engaging teaching methods and materials aligned with the NZSE Teaching and Learning Plan.
  • Design and develop course content and assessments as per NZQA standards.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders and arrange guest speakers and internships.
  • Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new programs.

Requirements

  • A Master's qualification in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in teaching at a tertiary level in healthcare.
  • Research active and experienced in developing programs and courses on the NZQA framework.
  • Familiarity with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and New Zealand aged care facilities.
