Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Registrar to join our intensive care team at Dunedin Hospital. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, participate in educational programs, and collaborate with colleagues to advance medical knowledge.
About the Role
- Work in a state-of-the-art 22-bed mixed medical and surgical intensive care unit.
- Contribute to echocardiography, ultrasound teaching, and simulation sessions.
- Collaborate with consultants and senior nurses to provide high-quality registrar education.
- Participate in critical care fellowship training and education programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ward rounds and manage the unit overnight when on-call.
- Delegate tasks to registrars and SHOs.
- Contribute to the development of special skills.
- Participate in critical care fellowship training.
Requirements
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for general or provisional general registration.
- Minimum two years' post-qualification experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
