Job Summary

We are looking for a commercially focused finance professional with a strong understanding of agribusiness operations. The successful candidate will be a key advisor to our operational teams, providing financial insights and driving performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Dairy, Dairy Support, Sheep & Beef Farming, and Forestry leadership to provide financial insights and drive performance.
  • Manage and develop a high performing team.
  • Deliver monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop business and investment cases to support sustainable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and manage financial risks.
  • Identify and drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency.

About You

You will be a highly motivated and experienced finance professional with a strong track record of delivering results in an agribusiness or commercial operations environment. You will thrive on collaboration, problem-solving, and driving strategic outcomes.

Requirements

  1. 6 - 8 years' experience in finance, agribusiness, primary industries, or commercial operations.
  2. Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful insights that support productivity and growth.
  3. An understanding of either Dairy and Sheep & Beef Farming, or Forestry operations and their financial impact.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-making.
  5. At least 2 years of leadership or management experience in the financial sector.
  6. CA qualification to CAANZ (or equivalent).
  7. Be willing to travel Aotearoa from time to time.
