The successful candidate will have broad range of general psychiatric skills, including specific experience in addictions. They will be required to hold or be eligible for Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of NZ. The role involves working collaboratively with our addiction partners, including Manaaki Ora in Rotorua and arc Counselling Services in the Southern Lakes region.

About You
  • A broad range of general psychiatric skills, with specific experience in Addictions
  • Hold or be eligible for Vocational Registration with Medical Council of NZ
  • Enjoy teaching – Rotorua is a teaching hospital with 4th, 5th and 6th year medical students as well as registrars training for fellowship with the RANZCP
  • Membership with NAOTP or equivalent preferred
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
