Job Overview:

Skill and Experience Requirements
  • A strong understanding of land management principles, including scheduled and reactive maintenance, as well as asset management.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building, especially in environments involving multiple stakeholders, including iwi and government agencies.
  • In-depth knowledge of government legislation and public policy, including national policy statements and local authority regulations.
  • A valid unrestricted New Zealand Driver's Licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the compliant and effective management of land, with a particular focus on Treaty settlements.
  • Building and maintaining strong, respectful partnerships with iwi will be central to your role as we honour Treaty obligations and work collaboratively to enhance the value and utility of Crown land.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, particularly with Treaty partners, and oversee the delivery of work through external service providers.

About You

  • You have significant hands-on experience (7+ years) in land management or a closely related field.
  • Strong skills in contract and project management, as well as proficiency with system workflows and business processes.
