About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a key member of the Clinical Education Team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs, providing guidance and mentorship to nurses, and creating educational materials tailored to the unique needs of palliative care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education Leadership: Develop and deliver educational programs that enhance patient outcomes and support staff development.
- Clinical Support: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to nurses, ensuring best practices in palliative care delivery and PDRP support.
- Resource Development: Create high-quality educational materials and resources that cater to the specific needs of palliative care settings.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with teams to implement evidence-based practices and drive continuous improvement in patient care standards.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote awareness and understanding of palliative care principles among external stakeholders.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NZ Registration as a Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Advanced clinical skills within palliative care, oncology, or a similar setting.
- Experience in clinical education or staff development, preferably in a leadership capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in palliative care.
