Job Description

The Senior Wellbeing and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for providing high-quality administration and coordination support to the wellbeing and safety team. This will include drafting and preparing papers and reports, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating meetings, projects, activities, and events.

The successful candidate will have strong administrative and coordination skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also have a strong understanding of wellbeing and safety principles and practices, and be able to develop and implement effective wellbeing and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality administration and coordination support
  • Drafting and preparing papers and reports
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating meetings, projects, activities, and events
  • Becoming the first point of contact for wellbeing and safety queries
  • Delivering compliance monitoring and reporting
  • Administering wellbeing and safety systems
  • Contributing to the development of frameworks, policies, and standards

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Human Resources, Health and Safety, Business Administration) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a wellbeing or health and safety team
  • Strong building and maintaining relationship skills
  • Ability to communicate well (written and oral)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of the vocational education sector is advantageous
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in the workplace
  • Ability to promote equity and prioritise the needs of priority groups
