* Strategic Leadership: Lead delivery on health, safety and wellbeing initiatives that support Ministry goals and deliver on government priorities.
* System Management: Oversee and maintain a fit-for-purpose Health and Safety Management System that ensures compliance and adapts to change.
* Performance & Assurance: Monitor and report on performance, manage assurance activities, and provide insights to senior leadership for improvement.
* Incident & Risk Oversight: Ensure effective incident management, analyse trends to mitigate risks, and oversee injury management processes.
* Collaboration & Guidance: Coach and mentor teams, colleagues, advise leaders, and lead initiatives to enhance health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes.
Work alongside other PCBUs in overlapping duties situations.
Ko pukenga - What you'll bring * A recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, or related discipline, and at least five years in a similar role * Experience with Health and Safety Management Systems * Experience taking a key role in projects, programmes or initiatives related to health and safety * Experience in working with the ACC Accredited Employers Programme is preferred but not required * Highly developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles * Active membership with a relevant association or institute at Technician/Professional Level (e.g.
