Job Summary

This exciting opportunity is for an Enabling Youth Worker to join our team in Central Auckland, South Auckland. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with colleagues, family/whānau, professionals, and agencies to provide therapeutic support for young people with developmental delays, autism, brain injury, or Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and behaviours of concern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to young people, focusing on their strengths, goals, and aspirations.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement tailored support plans.
  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support.
Requirements
  • A NZ full driver's license is essential for this role.
  • Experience working with youths and informed about youth culture and issues is highly desirable.
  • The ability to remain calm, patient, and flexible when dealing with challenging situations is vital.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build rapport with young people, families, and colleagues.
