Youth Forensic Psychologist

**Our Team**
Tu Maia Regional Youth Forensics is dedicated to supporting the holistic well-being and rehabilitation of at-risk youth through evidence-based interventions and comprehensive mental health care. Our team of experienced professionals works together to assess, treat, and support young people with complex challenges.
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child and adolescent development, experience in conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role involves:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including risk assessments for self-harm, harm to others, and vulnerability
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy and behavioural strategies
- Preparing forensic reports, clearly communicating complex psychological concepts to legal professionals
- Building strong therapeutic relationships with young people, taking into account their developmental stage, cultural background, and individual experiences
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, lawyers, and law enforcement officers
- Work collaboratively with other professionals within the youth justice system
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our specialist service
