Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at Hāpai Ora, a well-established Early Psychosis service based in Epsom, Auckland. (Please note this position is available for current Te Whatu Ora employees only).
Hāpai Ora, the early psychosis intervention team of Te Toka Tumai (ADHB) offers an innovative and youth friendly service to tāngata whai i te ora up to age 30, that are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or are at high risk of developing psychosis. At a time when a rangatahi (young person) feels most vulnerable, the Hāpai Ora team works together to support our rangatahi and their whānau through their journey in moving forward with their lives.
Our team is made up of experienced mental health professionals including Specialist Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses and Occupational Therapists as well as Cultural Advisors (Maori/Pacifica) and an Employment Consultant imbedded with the team.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Provide clinical leadership for the clinical staff at Hāpai Ora supporting the CTL and LC roles.
- Triage new referrals, liaison, and discharge planning with Te Whetu Tawera (adult inpatient) and Child and Family Unit.
- Support key workers in direct caseload clinical work and provide advice and guidance to individual clinical team members.
- Maintain a small clinical caseload of complex clients in keeping with a senior practitioner and in discussion with the CTL
- Ensure safe clinical practice in line as part of quality service delivery
- Conduct clinical caseload reviews and audits in line with service expectations.
- Be involved in developing strategies for wellbeing for rangatahi in Te Toka Tumai.

Reporting to the Clinical Team Leader there will be opportunities to take part in recruitment and retention activities and involvement in service development projects. You will work closely with the Lead Clinician and Practice Supervisors in the service.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will need to be clinically experienced with proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with service users, colleagues, mental health service providers, government agencies and the NGO sector. There will be an opportunity to develop your leadership skills through the ADHB Leadership Development Programme.
- Experience working with psychosis is essential, and experience working in an early intervention model would be an advantage.
- You must be a NZ registered Mental Health Professional with a current APC.
- A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community based role.
