You will play a pivotal role in supporting teams, guiding analysts, and fostering collaboration across multiple statistical releases and with the other Statistical Production Leads.
Your expertise will contribute to improving our statistical production processes and ensuring consistency across releases.Key responsibilities include:Managing and overseeing the production of one or more statistical releasesWorking closely with Unit Managers and Analysts to assign tasks and monitor progressCoordinating release status reporting and keeping key stakeholders informedIdentifying dependencies between statistical projects and ensuring smooth integrationStandardising methodologies and processes across different releasesCoaching and mentoring colleagues to build statistical capabilityDriving continuous improvement in statistical production systems and processesTo be successful in this role, you will bring:A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, an understanding of economic statistics is an advantageStrong project management skills and the ability to coordinate complex workstreamsAn understanding of data processing and quality control processes, with a willingness to learn about statistical data releases produced by Stats NZAn ability to solve problems under pressureGreat team-working skills with the ability to build strong relationshipsExcellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex concepts in plain EnglishAn understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a willingness to learn and grow in Te Ao MaoriA demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in or outside of workPlease highlight in your application any experience or skills you have in the areas listed above.We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and lifting our cultural capability.
