Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleBased in the Community Nursing Service, at Wakari Hospital, the role of Oncology/Haematology District Nurse is both busy and challenging but also extremely rewarding. The position involves providing community nursing care and support for medical oncology, radiation oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Key nursing tasks include:Comprehensive patient assessmentSymptom control and managementPatient educationPsychosocial assessment and supportThis role is also key to the future development of the service, building links within both primary and secondary care and staff education and support.Come and join our friendly and supportive team.
