Delivering healthcare and prevention programmes for whanau from our health hubs in Wairau (Blenheim), Whakatu (Nelson) and Motueka, from our mobile clinics or in whanau homes.

Our mission to support whanau to achieve greater hauora, to thrive, underpins everything we do: Ma te huruhuru ka rere te manu - Enable whanau to achieve wellness, knowing that when they need us, we will be there throughout all stages of their life.Mo tenei turana mahi / About this roleThe purpose of this role is to provide support to the CAMHS Clinicians who are working with whanau.
Mainly co-ordinating access to support and services that the child, adolescent, youth and their whanau wish to use.
Answering any questions they may have and making them feel comfortable.
Helping to develop whanau plans, goal setting and supporting the whole whanau to implement plans that will lead to positive change.
This fixed term role supports a whole whanau approach as well as working as part of a dedicated team of Nurses, Counsellors, Social workers, and business support kaimahi who are passionate about delivering Te Ao Maori solutions under a Whanau Ora framework, is available to June 2027.Our team is focused on supporting whanau to realize their potential and to facilitate more equitable health and social outcomes for Maori.
We work closely with other health and hapori/community services to deliver best fit options, tailored to what whanau need, now and into the future.Some of the important mahi you will be involved in:Working alongside our Clinicians to deliver each Whanau Ora plan, you will support whanau to engage with specialist mental health and addiction services.Building relationships with your whanau as a trusted and innovative advocate enabling them to achieve their goals, both individually and as a wider whanau.Working as a team to deliver tailored solutions from a Te Ao Maori perspective.Embarking on exciting learning and development pathways, both professionally and in ongoing development of cultural competency.Working with your colleagues across our wider organisation to support the delivery of our mahi in a manner that aligns with our vision and values.Developing and maintaining collaborative and innovative relationships within our service and across our communities.Championing opportunities for whanau to increase equity of access and engagement across services.What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role:Passion to support tamariki and rangatahi to thrive.Drive to collaborate, enabling effective and constructive relationships.A commitment to continuous improvement and a solution-focused approach.Being adaptable, flexible and keen to learn - every day is different and brings different opportunities and at times, challenges.Physical, mental and emotional resilience along with a commitment as a key member of our team to constructively address and overcome challenges as they arise.Knowledge of Te Reo me ona tikanga is desirable, support to develop cultural competency on the job in a safe environment to do so is essential to our way of working.Understanding of Child protection legislation and approach would be an advantage.A full clean driver's license is required.Effective communication skills across a wide audience.Working at Te Piki OrangaWhanau are our focus, and this includes with our kaimahi as well as those whanau we support within our service.
