An exciting opportunity has become available in our Richmond based office for the following role:
***Primary Mental Health Clinician - **32 hours per week (0.8 FTE)**:
We are looking for an experienced registered health profession to join the Nelson Bays Primary Health Brief Intervention Service (BIS).
The Brief Intervention Service (BIS) utilises evidence-based practice to provide brief and goal focused behavioural interventions to people who are suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues.
**About you**:
- You will have current registration with a registering body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA) and a current annual practicing certificate.
- Experience working with clients and their Whānau in a clinical setting.
- Experience in working in evidence based therapeutic models, and brief psychological interventions,
- A flexible, helpful, positive, and adaptive disposition, with willingness to embrace a new way of working.
- Skills in working in a busy client focused team.
- Qualifications in CBT or ACT/FACT would be considered an advantage, as will a strong understanding of Tikanga Māori.
Where required, additional training and support will be provided for the successful applicant.
