About the Company & Role
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. This is an initial six-month contract with high possibility of extension. This role involves supporting a large enterprise, one of the best in the biz for Banking and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:

System Reliability: Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud-based systems and services.
Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure for efficiency and scalability.
Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents affecting cloud services, minimizing downtime and impact on operations.
Automation and Integration: Develop and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline cloud operations and integrate monitoring tools.
Data Infrastructure: Oversee and enhance data pipelines and warehousing operations if utilizing platforms like Snowflake and StreamSets.
Performance Management: Manage and optimize data transformation and modeling processes using tools like dbt, and ensure compliance and performance with data access controls if using platforms like Immuta.
Cloud Platform Expertise: Utilize and manage services on Azure, including Azure Monitor, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure Security Center to maintain system reliability and performance.

Required Skills and Experience:

Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
Monitoring Tools: Proficiency with monitoring and incident management tools.
Automation: Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Data Tools: Knowledge of Snowflake, StreamSets, dbt, and Immuta is beneficial but not mandatory.
Performance Management: Ability to analyze and improve system performance and reliability.

Preferred Skills:

Snowflake & StreamSets: Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and StreamSets for data pipeline management.
dbt: Familiarity with data transformation and modeling using dbt.
Immuta: Experience with data access control and compliance using Immuta.
