We are seeking an intermediate Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing Digital & Technology Team. We build and support our Cloud Platforms and associated tooling for our internal customers.
As a member of our SRE team, you'll provide expertise to development teams, the product owners, security, and architecture by helping to ensure technology and best practice frameworks are being used to achieve a great outcome for the bank.
Key Role Responsibilities:

Deploy and manage our core Cloud infrastructure and Landing Zones in AWS and Azure
Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure code for our cloud services, applying best practices across multiple platforms using IaC
Foster a Site Reliability Engineering culture by sharing best practices, approaches, documentation, and code with other engineering teams
Participate in a 24x7 on-call support roster, after hours support and incident management
Support penetration testing, security vulnerability management, and disaster recovery activities
Participate in DevOps Ceremonies

Key skills and experience we're looking for:

At least 2+ years industry experience in a DevOps role working in an Agile environment
Experience with Terraform deploying and managing Cloud infrastructure
Experience with Enterprise AWS and Azure Landing Zones
Scripting experience with Python, Bash, Go
Values automation and scripting over manual repetition; and shares and encourages others on the team to do the same. Proficient in CI/CD practices and tooling like GitHub, and AWS CodePipeline
Understanding of Cloud security practices and compliance requirements

Nice to have:

AWS, Azure, or Hashicorp certifications
Experience with managing or using Terraform Cloud
Familiarity with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS) and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka & Confluent Cloud)
Exposure to cloud-based observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, SumoLogic, Splunk)
Good understanding of Cloud Networking and Services
