**Job Description**:
**Team Summary**:
The SCE engineering team consists of two staff members located in our Auckland office and one in the UK. Their primary responsibility is to provide support for legacy SCE systems that have not yet been integrated into Visa alternatives. They are given the authority to make decisions regarding the construction and maintenance of these systems, ensuring that our technology remains reliable and accessible. Additionally, they offer support to different individuals and teams across legacy digital platforms.

This role plays a critical part in the success of Visa and SCE by ensuring the maintenance and smooth operation of legacy systems. The incumbent will be instrumental in supporting the development arm of SCE, providing a reliable and efficient environment for their work. By maintaining the stability and functionality of these legacy systems, this role enables the seamless execution of projects and initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the development arm of SCE.

**Projects you will be a part of**:
This role will provide you with the opportunity to collaborate closely with the engineering team to support and enhance legacy cloud solutions, networking infrastructure, firewalls, and servers, aligning them with operational and cybersecurity standards. The successful applicant will be expected to possess a well-rounded technical skill set and thrive within a team-driven environment. Your primary focus will be ensuring the delivery of services to our internal customers at the utmost level of excellence.
- This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs._

**Qualifications**:
**What you will need**:

- 3-4+ years of experience in a Systems Support or Engineer role
- Understanding of network design and infrastructure
- Experience working in a business with a high level of compliance
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Desktop and Server operating system
- Background in AWS and its associated services
- Strong focus on continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Active Directory, GPOs, and LDAP
- Experience with data encryption solutions
- Knowledge of backup solutions, specifically Symantec Backup Exec
- Experience with Hyper-V Server/VMware Hypervisors
- Solid proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Familiarity with certificates/SSL
- Ability to handle a high volume of IT support issues in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in patching solutions and the ability to self-motivate, work independently, and collaborate as part of a global team
- Capability to make well-thought-out decisions considering the overall team strategy
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions
- Excellent professional communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer service focus with the ability and willingness to take ownership of all levels of IT work
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience working in a business with a high level of compliance

**What will also help**:

- Exposure to Office 365, Azure AD, Intune DirSync
- Cisco Switch and ASA Firewall and switch management
- AWS and CDK
- PowerShell and other scripting experience
- SQL server management
