Many of the team are based in Auckland, but some are overseas in the UK, US, and Australia.About the roleBased out of our Auckland HQ office, the HR Manager is a newly-created position. We've had support in establishing some core policies and processes, and we're ready to welcome a permanent, full-time team member. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is an operational HR role responsible for the full remit of HR.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate/update and implement fit-for-purpose HR policies and processes to support a great employee experience.Build leadership and management capabilities through coaching and support.Oversee recruitment, including graduate and international hiring.Deliver HR initiatives including developing our performance management and remuneration framework.Manage employment relations issues and contribute to enhancing a positive workplace culture.Continue to guide and build the HR strategy.About YouYou'll have the ability to work independently as the subject matter expert. You'll work comfortably with a team of varied functional professionals, many with strong scientific and academic backgrounds. Given we're a start-up, you'll be patient, hands-on, and agile in your approach to your work, supporting us to bring more structure to our people practices as we grow. You'll be a confident communicator and build great relationships with your key stakeholders. You have either already operated as a sole-charge HR professional or you may be a strong Senior HR Advisor/HR BP looking to step up to lead the HR function.Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in HRM or related discipline (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in all core HR disciplines (preferably in a prior sole-charge HR position).Strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice.Experience in managing a combined workforce of permanent, fixed term, and contingent workers.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Continuous improvement mindset and great problem-solving skills.Effective presentation, oral, and written business communication skills.Proficient in written and spoken English.Google suite/workspace knowledge and experience.Experience working in a start-up company.Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, or any other heavily regulated industry.Why Choose Alimetry?Join a passionate team.
