Job Description He angituutanga: The opportunity We're looking for an experienced investigator to play a crucial part in ensuring the city's water services comply with all relevant regulations and legislation What you'll be doing: ? Conducting proactive and responsive inspections of non-compliance and breeches of HCC consent conditions, Bylaws, management plans and other relevant legislative requirements within specified timeframes.
?Working with the business to ensure compliance obligations are understood.
?Issuing enforcement notices and taking appropriate action to ensure compliance.
?Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance matters.
?Maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates on the status of investigations.
?Contributing to the development and implementation of three waters compliance strategies and policies.
Qualifications Oo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experience ?New Zealand degree of Science or Engineering or equivalent.
?Current and clean NZ Drivers Licence.
?At least 5 years' experience in a regulatory compliance or other closely allied field of work.
Knowledge with the Resource Management Act (RMA).
?Knowledge of water, wastewater and storm water processes.
?Comprehensive Investigative and reporting skills.
?Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders (internal and external).
?Ability to operate independently, anticipate requirements and monitor workload.
?Makes effective decisions under pressure, thinks and manages work clearly during times of rapid change.
?Prior experience within Local Government would be an advantage.
