About the Role

\

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Environmental Health Team, overseeing workload management, mentoring team members, and conducting verifications of businesses operating under a template food control plan.

\

Main Responsibilities

\
  • \
  • Food safety and compliance, including registration and verification of food businesses and Food Safety Officer duties.\
  • Health Act inspections, covering premises registered under the Health Act 1956.\
  • Alcohol licensing, assessing and reporting on alcohol licence applications and manager's certificates.\
  • Public health investigations, addressing general health nuisances and compliance issues.\
  • Serving as the Chief Licensing Inspector, requiring a solid understanding of the Alcohol Regulatory & Licensing Authority, Food Act 2014, and Food Regulations 2015.\
  • Mentoring team members and developing their skills.\
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\\/ul\
