Rabobank Gruppe is seeking a Compliance Expert to join our team in New Zealand.

The Compliance Expert will be responsible for providing in-depth technical knowledge and expertise on AML/CFT, Sanctions, and FATCA/CRS, as well as drive and execute strategies to ensure compliance with New Zealand legislation and Group Policy requirements.

About the role

As a Compliance Expert, you will act as the Compliance SME on FCC-related projects, supporting control and process remediation projects, offering technical advisory support on escalated matters and incident investigations, and assessing regulatory changes while coordinating engagement with RBNZ and law enforcement agencies.

  • You will be responsible for the execution of the FCC framework and policy strategy and activities across New Zealand, ensuring compliance with obligations and a robust risk and control framework is designed effectively and operating.
  • You will proactively manage compliance issues brought by changes to (FCC related) legislation and other regulatory requirements across New Zealand or relevant other jurisdictions by providing briefings/ updates to senior management and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive and execute strategies to ensure compliance with New Zealand legislation and Group Policy requirements.
  2. Act as the Compliance SME on FCC-related projects, supporting control and process remediation projects.
  3. Offer technical advisory support on escalated matters and incident investigations.
  4. Assess regulatory changes while coordinating engagement with RBNZ and law enforcement agencies.
