Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity - Principal Asset Planning Engineer The Principal Asset Planning Engineer will lead the strategic planning for the company's transport assets.
This role involves developing and implementing asset management strategies and plans to ensure the optimal performance, sustainability, and resilience of the transport network aligned to business objectives.
To work collaboratively with AT's asset planning team and wider asset management functions to lead the production of the 10 & 30-year investment plans for transportation infrastructure.
Key Tasks include: Developing and updating asset management plans and artefacts in conjunction with the wider asset management team.Working with other business units to support the preparation of funding request programmes (RLTP).Analysing asset data to identify performance trends and forecast asset need into the future.Identifying and leading activities to incorporate best practice activities into the AT asset management discipline.Leading development opportunities to improve AT's Asset Management maturity.Providing AM/FM planning and engineering subject matter advice and expertise.Training, teaching and mentoring staff in asset management practice.Participating in transport sector workgroups as primary AT asset management representative.Minimum Requirements: Degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, ORDegree in Business (economics), Finance or Information Technology related degree.Minimum 15 years asset management experience (preferably including some Local Government experience).Minimum five years analysis and reporting of complex AM/FM data.Extensive knowledge of the IIMM and ISO5500x.Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite (Power BI).At AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
