To learn more, visit our website.Job DescriptionThe EH&S Lead ensures a high standard of Environmental, Health and Safety across the divisions, overall operations, and products to safeguard our employees, assets, and customers.This role will implement and ensure compliance with company policies, specifically pertaining to Environmental safety, like: ISO 45001, ISO 14001 IMS/ISO 9001, Workcover, and other relevant legislative and accreditation requirements. Vital to this will be to carry out continuous improvement activities, and provide direction, support, and training to employees at all levels.This role's responsibilities include maintaining the Safety database, conducting root cause investigations, developing safety improvement plans, and ensuring SOP compliance. You will perform risk assessments, safety observations, and lead safety meetings. The role involves coordinating EHS initiatives, managing contractor safety compliance, and overseeing emergency preparedness. You will lead EHS-related projects, monitor KPIs, and generate improvement ideas. Effective communication and timely reporting on safety performance, incident trends, and training needs are essential. The HSE manager will also lead internal and external audits, support training initiatives, and represent the site in EH&S matters with external entities.QualificationsAbsolute commitment to the highest Environmental & safety standards in the workplace.Proven experience (over 5 years of working experience) within a comparable industry or similar role.Possess a high standard of communication and problem-solving skills.Comfort in motivating others and creating change and compliance in all layers of the organization.Strong customer focus and ability to present in sales/customer environment on topics of safety, wellbeing, environment, and OHS guidelines.Ability to create compliance within both owned manufacturing plants and contract manufacturers.Demonstrated ability to write reports, policies, and procedures as well as being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software for the development of the above.Able to travel domestically when required, especially to support the Auckland plant occasionally.NoteYou must have New Zealand work rights to be considered for the role.No agency contact please.Requisition id: 47699Relocation: NoSealed Air is committed to attracting, selecting, and developing talent that reflects the diversity of the communities and customers we serve.
