**Head of Environmental, Health, and Safety** (EHS) to join our divisional team based in Penrose, Auckland

This divisional role supports our businesses that span the concrete value chain, from raw material extraction through to product manufacturing, employing over 1300 people across 4 business units with 26 extractive sites, over 80 manufacturing plants and other service centres across the country.

**About you**

Your expertise, passion and proactive approach will be instrumental as you'll work closely with Divisional Chief Executives, Business Unit GMs, Group EHS team, BU EHS Managers.

Ideally you will have:

- Deep understanding and experience of EHS within large / complex organisation(s).
- Will have had 8 - 10 years (minimum) EHS experience.
- Relevant graduate degree (preferably postgraduate degree) in safety or a related discipline.
- Strong priorities management and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, seen as engaging and able to build trust and rapport with diverse range of stakeholders.
- Highly effective influencing and persuasion skills at all levels within organisations.
- Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness.
- Preferably trained in ICAM (or similar a similar investigation process) and auditing.

**The Role**

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will champion safety and risk for the business with a solution focused approach.

This is a senior role, where you will influence a strong culture supporting implementation of efficient safety systems, risk management and proactive coaching across the business.
