About Us
ASSA ABLOY is the global leader in access solutions, delivering innovative and reliable products that meet the needs of our customers. With a presence in over 70 countries, we design, manufacture, and supply solutions that enhance security, safety, and convenience for homes and businesses worldwide.
In New Zealand, we pride ourselves on fostering strong industry partnerships and maintaining a market-leading reputation. Join us and be part of a company that empowers individuals to build rewarding careers while shaping the future of access solutions.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and resilient Architectural Representative to join our ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions New Zealand team. Based in Christchurch, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence, driving specification growth, and increasing our share of the commercial hardware market.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for building strong relationships and a proactive approach to business development. You'll work closely with architects, designers, merchants, and builders to promote ASSA ABLOY's products and deliver outstanding customer support.

Key responsibilities include:
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, project managers, and builders.
• Proactively develop a pipeline of leads through effective sales calls and CRM software management.
• Drive specification and scheduling growth by building strong relationships and showcasing ASSA ABLOY's comprehensive product and service offerings to benefit customers.
• Gather and analyse market intelligence to identify strategic opportunities.
• Represent ASSA ABLOY at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
• Deliver technical product support and organise relevant training sessions for clients.
• Collaborate with sales teams, specification writers, and customer service teams to ensure exceptional service.

About You
You are a results-oriented sales and relationship management professional with a knack for building trust and delivering value to clients. You thrive in dynamic environments and have a proactive, self-motivated approach.

We're looking for someone who brings:
• 1-2 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in the architectural, design, or construction industry.
• Proven experience in generating new business and building a sales pipeline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Enthusiasm for learning new skills and expanding industry knowledge.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables, whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Experience and understanding of design software, building hardware or the commercial building process would be advantageous.
We are the ASSA ABLOY Group
Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions. In return, we open doors for them wherever they go. With nearly 61,000 colleagues in more than 70 different countries, we help billions of people experience a more open world. Our innovations make all sorts of spaces – physical and virtual – safer, more secure, and easier to access.
As an employer, we value results – not titles, or backgrounds. We empower our people to build their career around their aspirations and our ambitions – supporting them with regular feedback, training, and development opportunities. Our colleagues think broadly about where they can make the most impact, and we encourage them to grow their role locally, regionally, or even internationally.
As we welcome new people on board, it's important to us to have diverse, inclusive teams, and we value different perspectives and experiences.
