The opportunityWe are looking for an exceptional people leader with local government experience to join our dedicated & collaborative environmental consents team.
Reporting to the Environmental Consents Manager you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining a healthy & vibrant team culture and supporting our consent officers and customer service planners with their workloads, their growth and development, and customer and stakeholder relationships.
To set you up for success, you'll haveStrong coaching and mentoring skills and experience.Strong team building skills and experience.Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.Exceptional relationship management skills to deliver quality and efficient services for our customers.Tertiary qualifications in planning or a similar discipline.Demonstrated experience with business improvements and customer service delivery.Membership with the New Zealand Planning Institute or an international equivalent (preferable).What we offerFive weeks annual leave.A competitive employment package - including subsidised medical insurance.Flexible work arrangements and a pet friendly work environment.Sick leave on commencement of employment.Learning and development opportunities.Access to wellbeing resources and workplace support.Assistance to relocate to the area.Free onsite parking.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
